  • ASHRAE Featured <br>on Reuters Billboard in Times Square

    ASHRAE’s image is larger than life in the building industry, but now it’s literally larger than life – in Times Square.

    As part of the Society’s public relations campaign centered around Earth Day, the ASHRAE logo, along with a news headline, is appearing on the Reuters billboard in Times Square. From April 21 to 24, ASHRAE’s materials will be displayed several times each day during the morning and evening rush hours.

  • ASHRAE and USGBC Cosponsor Washington Fellowship
    The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) have joined forces to sponsor a one-year fellowship in Washington, D.C., that will allow the participant to work in the federal government in a technical advisory role. Members of ASHRAE or USGBC may apply.
  • International Code Council Takes Action on ASHRAE Proposals
    ATLANTA – International building codes may soon incorporate requirements from a new load calculation standard from ASHRAE and ACCA under several recent proposals now under consideration.
  • Proposed Standard for High-Performing Buildings Open for Public Review
    A proposed standard that will essentially define high-performing buildings in code-intended language is one step closer to completion. Proposed Standard 189.1, Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings, is now open for its second public review.

Whether you are a homeowner, HVAC technician, HVAC Contractor, related trade, or in the HVAC industry in some way we invite you to write article(s) for the site which pertain to HVAC. We will review the articles and notify you if and when they will be published. Homeowners can write about an air conditioning and heating system they had installed or serviced and their view on the service they received. Technicians can contribute by writing about technical things or dealing with management. High Performance HVAC has the final editorial say before any article is published.
