The picture is of an old air conditioner being lifted from a roof top to the ground by a crane. Making an air conditioning change often requires the use of a large crane to move the air conditioner condenser. Technicians recover the refrigerant and unhook the electrical service including the HVAC control wiring. The old unit is rigged and lifted from the roof top. The new air conditioner is then rigged and lifted into place where the old air conditoner condenser was sitting. The copper line set is soldered and leak tested. After leak testing is complete a deep vacuum is pulled is pulled on the refrigeration circuit. The electrical service is hooked up to the unit along with the HVAC control wiring. After all is complete an HVAC technician makes a final check of all connections and the new air conditioner is started and tested.
