I installed this unit in 2005. i did have a problem with the swirl plate and replaced it for under four dollars. the problem was the vent length, I added two 90's to the vent to increase the length and have had no problems since. the unit has run flawlessly and saved me hundereds on my gas bill. I am not a HVAC person and spent months reasearching boilers and how they operate. I insatlled the unit(change out) and new zone valves for under 4K. all the estimates were over 11K. I am very pleased.

Lennox offers gas furnaces from 80% AFUE all the way to 95% AFUE in their top of the line equipment. Lennoxs most recent high efficiency furnace, the G-71P has a varying capacity heating system that can operate the furnace from 40% all the way 100% when the 100% operating capacity is needed. This is a very good feature that can save you on gas usage. Most manufacturers offer only two stages for heating capacity but Lennox goes a step further with this new state of the art furnace. It also keeps Lennox ahead of the curve with furnaces and this is not the first time Lennox has been ahed of the curve with high efficiency furnaces. Lennox introduced the pulse furnace and made high efficiency gas furnaces stylish before it energy conservation became stylish. Lennox offers typical industry warranties on their gas furnaces.

Replaced a 23 year old York oil furnace and air conditioner with a new, High Efficiency Carrier Infinity 16 heat pump and oil furnace (I live in New England and gas is not an option). This is a dual fuel system designed to minimize oil consumption and maximize system heating efficiency. I was disappointed that Carrier's excellent Infinity control system was not developed for use with this combination so I have a thermidisat, the new 'Edge' which is quite fancy. The system keeps the house comfortable and has yet to use any noticable oil except during defrost. I am near the Atlantic coast and we have an ideal heat pump climate although they are very rare here as the local dealers do not knom much about them.
